See It, Conceive It, Achieve It.
“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 (NIV) "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance." 1 Timothy 4:8-9 (NIV)
“... you be transformed by the renewing of your mind... .” Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.” 1Corinthians 9:24-25 (NIV) "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." 2Timothy 1:7 (NIV) "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:11 (NIV) "Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly." 1 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
Training and discipline go hand-n-hand. Training is haphazard without the conviction and commitment of discipline to get you to where you need to be. Discipline without training does not give you a system to develop and grow. Training provides a system and discipline provides conviction and commitment. With training and discipline, you need to believe in yourself and believe that God has created you with a purpose for a cause. People do not give themselves merely to a dream, but they give themselves to the cause of what the dream will produce. Dreams without a cause do not stir up the passions that fuel the fire for motivation to drive you through the adversities of the journey. Without the cause, dreams are empty and hallow going nowhere. God has given everyone a cause to live and win in life. Every person was created in the image of God for a purpose and that purpose will produce fruit/results. You must believe. “Believe you received it” and you will receive it. To “believe” is to see it as though it exists. But this is not merely believing it exists, this here takes believing a step further “to believing you have already received it" though you haven't. This is the conceiving of what you are believing for. Seeing by your imagination and then believing this imagination is true as though it already exists. Our imagination is God-given to us for this purpose. It can be used for good or bad. We must be good stewards of it and use it for good. Next, “that you have received it.” “Received” is in the indicative (a fact) and in the aorist (a point of time in past). Once you believe it go on to conceiving it by acting like it has already come into existence. Take some kind of action no matter how small and insignificant this action may seem. Be consistent and regular in your actions. Put a time limit on it and work hard to stay on it but do not allow anxiety and stress to beat you down with it. Also, do not beat yourself down by comparing yourself to others. Celebrate every small step. Once you move into conceiving it you will grow into completely receiving it. Goals achieved are short lived. The heightened joy of accomplished goals ebbs away. It is more important to learn to enjoy the journey rather than the fleeting of the accomplished goals. When you enjoy the journey to the goals the joy of accomplished goals will be sustained. Without this joy of the journey the goals become a dead end. Allow the journey to process you. God uses the journey to mold and develop us. By enjoying the journey, you are enjoying the presence of God. In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures evermore, Psalm 16:11. The Apostle Paul said to be content in all things, yet, he also says, he pressed towards the mark/goal of the prize. (1Timothy 6:6 & Philippians 3:14; 4:11). Paul was not contradicting himself but was saying in your endeavors and efforts to achieve your goals do not be anxious (Philippians 4:6) for them but to enjoy the journey of your life in pursuit of them. Enjoying the journey means to appreciate and value the journey. All things are working together for our good to those who are called according to God's purposes, Romans 8:28. And in all things give thanks and be thankful, 1 Thessalonians 5:18. This means not to despise small beginnings, Zechariah 4:10. We are all winners. To learn to be a good loser means you are despising small things. Thomas Alvin Edison failed many, many times and when confronted about his failures he responded by saying he never failed because with every attempt he learned something that moved him forward to his discovery of the filament and bulb. My father in a wheelchair with Parkinson Disease was still a winner inspiring me. You don't need to be a good loser. You are a winner! I will be putting my new book online soon that I just finished writing entitled, "Shaping A Will To Win."
