See It, Conceive It, Achieve It.
“.... 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24 (NIV)
“... you be transformed by the renewing of your mind... .” Romans 12:2 (NIV)
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training.” 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (NIV)
“Believe you received it” and you will receive it. To “believe” is to see it as though it exists. But this here takes believing a step further “to receive it.” This is the conceiving of what you are believing for. Seeing by your imagination and then believing this imagination is true. Next, “that you have received it.” “Received” is in the indicative (a fact) and in the aorist (a point of time in past). Once you believe it go on to conceiving it by acting like it has already come into existence. Take some kind of action no matter how small and insignificant this action may seem. Be consistent and regular in your actions. Put a time limit on it and work hard to stay on it but do not allow anxiety and stress to beat you down with it. Also, do not beat yourself down by comparing yourself to others. Celebrate every small step. Once you move into conceiving it you will grow into completely receiving it.
I believe in putting time limits on goals, “time-bound goals.” If you do not do this you will instinctively drag out the goals. Dragging out is done almost instinctively by human nature. However, you have to allow time-bound goals to be adjusted. Without allowing them to be adjusted you will become frustrated and stressed. And you will not be able to enjoy the process of the journey. How you make the journey is especially important to the overall sustainable success of the goals. Enjoy the journey. Goals achieved are short lived. The heightened joy of accomplished goals ebbs away. It is more important to learn to enjoy the journey rather than the fleeting of the accomplished goals. When you enjoy the journey to the goals the joy of accomplished goals will be sustained. Without this joy of the journey the goals become a dead end. Allow the journey to process you. God uses the journey to mold and develop you. By enjoying the journey you are enjoying the presence of God. In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures evermore, Psalm 16:11. The Apostle Paul said to be content in all things, yet, he also says, he pressed towards the mark/goal of the prize. (1Timothy 6:6 & Philippians 3:14; 4:11). Paul was not contradicting himself but was saying in your endeavors and efforts to achieve your goals do not be anxious (Philippians 4:6) for them but to enjoy the journey of your life in pursuit of them.
